Originally delivered in California and retained by the same Belgian owner for nearly 30 years, it benefits from extensive documentation, a rebuilt engine, and recent no-expense-spared servicing. A charming Ölklappe Targa offering the authenticity, provenance, and driving pleasure enthusiasts seek in an early air-cooled 911.

A classic 911 2.4T Targa, finished in its original Grand Prix White over black leatherette and retaining its matching engine and gearbox. Originally delivered to sunny California, this 911 combines provenance, originality, and the unmistakable charm of early air-cooled motoring.

The car remained in the United States until 1999 and is accompanied by a substantial file of invoices documenting its American history. Imported to Belgium thereafter, it was carefully cherished by a single Belgian owner for nearly 30 years. As part of a significant private collection, the car was sparingly driven and always stored in a heated, climate-controlled environment with a battery tender connected. Regular maintenance, annual servicing, and technical inspections were carried out throughout its ownership to keep the car in excellent mechanical condition; driving around 500km annually.

The engine was rebuilt shortly after its arrival in Belgium and benefits from several desirable upgrades, including hydraulic chain tensioners, reconditioned cylinder heads, new pistons and cylinders, and a new exhaust system. Today, the flat-six remains responsive and eager, starting instantly and settling into a smooth idle. Power delivery is crisp and linear, while the gearbox provides precise and confidence-inspiring shifts. Often underestimated, the 911T's 2.4-litre fuel injected engine offers a lively and engaging driving experience that perfectly suits the character of the early 911.

Most recently, a major overhaul was performed in our atelier with no expense spared, ensuring peace of mind for its next custodian. Works included new tyres, replacement brake lines, fresh fluids, a four-wheel alignment, the odo converted from miles to km, and comprehensive mechanical servicing throughout.

The car presents as an honest, well-maintained example with light patina consistent with careful long-term ownership. Rather than being over-restored, it retains the character and authenticity enthusiasts appreciate while offering the reliability expected from a properly maintained classic Porsche.

Accompanying the vehicle are its toolkit, jack, spare wheel, along with a comprehensive history file containing numerous invoices accumulated over decades of ownership.

The 911 2.4T Targa offers a compelling blend of classic styling, mechanical purity, and real-world usability. Presented in lovely condition and supported by extensive history, long-term ownership, and significant mechanical investment, this example represents one of the most charismatic open-top variants of the early 911.
