Buy Quadix Classic Cars
A Quadix is an unusually direct mix of open buggy motoring and German off-road hardware. For a British buyer, import paperwork and the exact road-registration category matter as much as condition.

Quadix history
Quadix GmbH, based in Bamberg, was registered in 2009. It first dealt in quads and ATVs, then concentrated on buggies and UTVs; contemporary reporting identifies the Buggy 800, Buggy 1100 and diesel Trooper as the core range from 2012. It is a specialist modern marque rather than a traditional car manufacturer.
Highlights
The 800 offered an 812cc three-cylinder and rear- or four-wheel drive. The 1100 added a water-cooled four-cylinder and five-speed gearbox; a 2019 Turbo test recorded 114PS and 145Nm. Trooper 800 combined a Perkins diesel, CVT low range, locks and load bed.

Market Overview & Buying Tips
Recent German asking prices placed 800s around €5,800–€12,990 and 1100s around €7,000–€14,900; they are not UK transaction values. Budget separately for post-Brexit transport, duty/VAT where applicable, DVLA registration and an MOT position. Check VIN, German papers, chassis corrosion and welding, steering, brakes, cooling, driveshaft boots, wiring and lock engagement. LHD suitability and weather protection deserve an honest test drive.
Driving Feel
The short wheelbase, exposed wheels and wind make the Quadix feel closer to a side-by-side than a conventional convertible. It is entertaining on private land and minor roads, but tyre choice, suspension wear and weather alter the experience quickly.
Design
Its mini-Jeep proportions, short overhangs and simple bodywork are functional rather than retro theatre. Doors, hood, winch and lift kits add usefulness only if properly installed and declared.
Summary
Buy the documented, mechanically coherent Quadix, not the loudest modified one. An 800, 1100 or Trooper with sound provenance is the sensible route into this niche German buggy.
