Mercedes W201, i.e. the classic 190 with an additional letter E denoting the use of fuel injection instead of a carburetor. The car drives a 2.3-liter engine, 132 horsepower transfers to the wheels a 4-speed automatic, which allows you to chill even at peak times. The body of the Italian designer Bruno Sacco design in the facelifted version with the so-called wide strip, enabling a two-ton configuration of the body known from the higher Mercedes classes - here silver-gray.
The car is 100% compatible with VIN, and on additional equipment, we can find such amenities as:
- electric passenger mirror,
-alloy wheels "Gullideckel 16"
- the lamp above the rear seat.
The car is characterized by a complete lack of rust, the only rust visible on the more detailed photos on the tailgate was created before coming to Poland, was protected and does not go further. The car has the original, first paint on the entire body (reading of the paint sensor 100-120 microns), hence several chips or scratches proving an accident-free history.
The chassis has been secured at Krown (protection refreshed in November 2019) with a transparent oil substance and not any bitumen, so you can safely appreciate its condition without worrying that corrosion blooms underneath.
What impressed me, at least, was the condition of the seals (still bending under gentle pressure) and complete silence during the work of the sunroof or side windows. Also, the mechanical condition leaves nothing to be desired. At the turn of February and March, front discs and pads were replaced, and an "oil-filter" service was made. Both the suspension and drive components work properly without disturbing sounds. The gearbox sometimes jerks like a classic Mercedes.
During the term of the previous owner, front shock absorbers, engine mounts, and adjusted mechanical injection (+ a few smaller things like seals, candles) were replaced. From the things to do, you can refresh the rims and for those who still need to adjust the K-Jetronica, because sometimes on a warm it happens not to jump to a higher speed when firing (1200/1500 and only at 900), only with a 600-900 jump. The difference in the mileage shown in the announcement and in the photo of the clocks is due to their replacement with new ones at the meter reading around 135.000 km - this operation was still entered in the German service book and, judging by the condition of 190t, the mileage of 238,000 is real, and the car without stuttering ( unless delighted) undergoes technical examination.
The car was bought from a passionate who attached full-service documentation, two additional keys, and three model books. All this is to be handed over to the new owner. The current owner has driven Benz 7,500 trouble-free kilometers. Mercedes is perfect as the beginning of the adventure with the classic but also works as a "daily" for people who, like me, are not quite convinced by computerized cars.
Last month, the final muffler was replaced from one ending with a two-pipe (from year 91-) to one with a single (up to 91).
