Offered for sale is one e30 M3 which has been fully restored. I restore classic BMW's for a living and mostly specialise in e30 m3's. This is my own personal car which I restored over the space of 4 years, approximately 1800 hours labour and 36,000 euro in parts. I built it to showcase my skills as a restorer and be the best e30 m3 I could possibly build.
The amount of work carried out during this restoration is staggering and all I can offer here is a very, very brief summary. The car was stripped to a bare shell, chemically dipped and finally electrophoreticly painted or "e-coated" as sometimes referred to in the trade which is a dipped primer coating process more often associated with high end modern sports cars.
From this base of a spotless, bare, fully rust free shell, every single mechanical component was stripped, overhauled, reassembled and photographed before being reattached. Alongside this process every single task was meticulously documented and uploaded to a "build thread" hosted on 4 prominent bmw e30 specialist forums. The build thread has served as a sort of bible for e30 m3 restorations over the years since this cars completion. As a direct result of this the car gained and still holds a large degree of notoriety in the worldwide online e30 m3 community as a bench mark in full "nut and bolt" restorations.
