Finished in metallic silver grey with full dark blue hide and carpets. (This was one of five silver grey cars officially imported by Maranello Concessionaires Ltd, of which this is understood to be the only one remaining silver grey).Completed by the factory and invoiced to Maranello Concessionaires Ltd on the 28th October 1983 for delivery to the UK by truck-weight noted as 1499kg.The car was invoiced to Maranello Sales Ltd -supplying dealer -on the 31st January 1984,noting the optional all leather interior (headlining and seats).The first owner was Mr E of West Sussex who took delivery on the 6th February 1984 registering the car, 446 EJB. Purchased from Maranello Sales Ltd by Mr R H with 11,790 miles for £125,000 R owned a number of Ferrari's including a 275 GTB/4.He also owned the ex Scuderia Montjuich Ferrari 512M # 1002.With this car he took the production car "Flying Mile" record on the 27th April 1977 at 191.64mph at RAF Cosford, Gloucestershire. He later went on to own a Testarossa which with Bob Houghton completely re bodied. In November 1990 512 BB Cromodora wheels and BF Goodrich tyres were fitted by R H having been supplied by Bob Houghton for £1683.60.(These have now been replaced with Michelin XWX as per a 512 BB).The TRX wheels are available with the car should they be required.
A sales invoice from Ferrari agents Graypaul dated the 30th January 1997 shows the car being sold to the late Mr. P C of London with 20,070 miles taking a 1996 Ferrari 456 GTA in part exchange. However four months later the car is then sold and registered on the 26th April 1997 to a Dr P B of London for £65,000 with 20,254 miles, again by Graypaul
I sold the car while at Surrey specialist Talacrest, on the 16th October 1999 to the fourth and penultimate owners Mr D and his wife A, of Buckinghamshire who bought the 512 BBi with 23,101 miles for £42,600 and a 308 GTS #30653! R and A moved to Australia taking the 308 GTS with them. The 512 was sold back through Talacrest to the last owner Mr A H of The Midlands ,on the 2nd September 2005 at 24,375miles ,joining a Ferrari 400i.Maintenance continued with Talacrest ,until the workshops closed when Rardley Motors started to look after the car.
