Presented here is a wonderfully original and matching-numbers 1956 Jaguar XK140 Roadster, one of the most iconic sports cars of the 1950s. The XK140 was the successor of the XK120 and featured bigger chrome bumpers, and a number of technical improvements like rack and pinion steering, telescopic rear shock absorbers, increased cabin space, and for the first time, an overdrive option became available. It was available in three body styles: a closed Fixed head coupe(FHC), a luxurious open Drop head coupe (DHC), and a sporty Open Two-seater roadster (OTS), the most sought after body style of the three. This example is the Open Two Seater version. Factory ordered with C-type cylinder head, factory overdrive and Special equipment package, and still wearing its original colour scheme of Pastel blue over a red leather interior. Cosmetically nicely patinated but very clean, and in excellent mechanical shape, ready to be enjoyed on rallies or tours.
