1963 | Volvo PV 544

This is an original Dutch-delivered car from 1963.
The car has recently been mechanically refreshed. Both the braking system and the cooling system have largely been renewed. The new whitewall tyres look beautiful beneath the original mint green paintwork. The exterior has been freshened up and the interior has been reupholstered. The classic combination of the stunning mint green colour (colour code 73) and the cognac-coloured half-leather interior gives this car a truly classic appearance.

Exterior

The car is fitted with standard wheels from the 1962 model year. The chrome work is in generally neat condition. The paintwork shows some patina but remains in very good overall condition. The window rubbers could use some attention in places. The car is fitted with new, recently installed whitewall tyres.

Interior

The interior has recently been reupholstered and is finished in a beautiful cognac-coloured half-leather. The door panels and headliner are in good condition. The car is equipped with a more recent cassette player/radio.

Mechanical

The car is powered by the well-known B18 engine with a single Zenith carburettor. The engine is in good mechanical condition and shows good compression across all cylinders. Paired with the four-speed manual gearbox, the car still keeps up well with modern traffic despite its age. The suspension is standard but in good condition, and the brakes perform excellently following the recent renewal. Thanks to the updated braking and cooling components, the car is safe for both recreational and daily use.
