This original 1303 is a 1972 model, first registered in January 1973 in Düren to its first owner. The Beetle was regularly driven in its early years, and up until 1989, with just under 100,000 kilometers, its history is fully documented thanks to original invoices.

In 2002, the car was transferred within the family to the son, who added another 25,000 kilometers over 15 years. Over time, the Beetle began to show its age, facing the usual issues. Reluctantly, the family parted with it, and the buyer initially planned to use the car for a conversion project. However, the car's excellent history and sound condition changed his mind, leading to a thorough restoration.

A long list of new parts was installed, including all seals, taillights, shock absorbers, bumpers, fender beading, tie rods, steering damper, a complete exhaust system, underbody parts like the splash wall lower section, the front apron, frame head, and interior parts such as upholstery and seat covers.

Before being put back on the road, restored Weltmeister wheels (worth nearly €1,000) were fitted with new old-school Michelin tires. A fresh TÜV inspection was completed in November, and the Beetle has proudly carried its historic "H" registration for years.

Currently, no work is required. The engine has been refreshed with new fluids and wear parts. Volkswagen has confirmed the car's authenticity with a birth certificate, verifying its original color, engine configuration, and matching numbers.

The only minor blemish on its otherwise excellent condition: a small mishap in the garage caused a dent with some paint chipping on the left side panel. Annoying, but not a major issue.

The overall condition of this 1303, combined with its rare color and nearly complete history, makes it a unique and special Beetle.
