In 1999, the automobile was imported to the Netherlands and subsequently restored.
The restoration was carried out according to the original factory specifications; this MGA 1600 MK II roadster displays all original details!
The MG has been excellently maintained over the years. So the car is in good condition!
The car does shows some signs of use and age that contribute to the vintage feel.
This MGA is a fairly rare 1600 MK II model that can be distinguished by the special grille with recessed slats, the newly designed horizontal taillights, the vinyl-covered ‘dash-top’ under the windshield, and of course, the 1600 MK II badges next to the hood.
The MGA 1600 MKII, with the only technical difference compared to the MGA 1600 being the larger (1622 cc) engine that delivered 93 hp at 5500 rpm.
The increased power primarily benefited acceleration.
Until June 1962, the MGA 1600 MKII was available as a coupé and roadster; during the period from June 1962 to September 1962, only the roadster remained available.
After that, production of the MGA came to an end and production of the MG B began.
A total of 8,719 examples of the 1600 MKII were built.
This MGA is equipped with silver-painted wire wheels with chrome ‘knock-on’ wheel nuts and wind deflectors on the windshield surround.
