This Mercedes-Benz E 200 W124 has been in the same family for many years and originally belonged to my late grandfather. It was first registered in December 1993 and is finished in Mercedes-Benz Bornite Metallic with a black cloth interior.
The car has been off the road since 2018 and has been stored in a dry, privately owned underground garage. It is currently unregistered, has no valid German roadworthiness certificate (TÜV) and is not roadworthy. It is therefore expressly offered as a restoration project requiring extensive work.

Known restoration work required:
The vehicle has age- and storage-related defects, together with corrosion in various areas of the bodywork. Based on current knowledge, the affected areas include the sills, wheel arches, front wings, doors, boot area, engine bay and crossmembers. The rear axle and surrounding area, as well as the braking system, also require thorough inspection and overhaul.
The heated seats work only partially and intermittently. The outside-temperature display is inoperative. The interior wood trim requires refinishing due to its age.
No comprehensive technical inspection or independent condition report has been carried out, particularly with regard to the underside of the vehicle. No reliable assessment of the underbody can therefore be given beyond the areas that are currently visible. Further defects may be present as a result of the prolonged period of storage. The present condition of the engine and automatic transmission also cannot be reliably assessed without an appropriate technical inspection.
A test drive is not possible. Viewings are available by prior appointment at the vehicle’s location in Illertissen, Germany. The buyer must arrange collection using a suitable trailer or vehicle transporter.
The vehicle is offered only as a complete, non-roadworthy restoration project. This is a private sale. Statutory liability for defects is excluded to the extent permitted by law. No warranty, guarantee or right of return is offered. All information has been provided in good faith and to the best of my knowledge, but does not constitute a contractual guarantee regarding the vehicle’s condition.
