When the new Mercedes limousines from the W 111 series (nicknamed "Tail Fin") were introduced, the former "Ponton" convertibles looked conversative in comparison. So the market and customers instantly took to the cabriolets and coupés from the series W 111. Starting in September 1961, the 4-seater cabriolet was available and was considered the most beautiful cabriolet in the world.
Our Mercedes-Benz 220 SE b Cabriolet was a German release and has been completely restored. It lay dormant since 1993 and is currently registered in the Czech Republic. Its color combination of dark grey metallic with a cream colored leather interior is ravishing.
