Description

Finally, Mercedes had a 6-cylinder limousine in its post war program! The new model 220 from the W 187 series was introduced at the International Motorshow at Frankfurt/Germany in 1951. Its newly developed “heart”, the 6-cylinder with an overhead camshaft was a modern construction, its body, however, remained conservative, which was typical for Mercedes at the time, and a successful strategy. The classic convertibles, A and B, were also offered.

Our Mercedes-Benz 220 Cabriolet B is a true 4-seater with two doors and four rectractable side windows. It cost an impressive DM 18,260 at the time. This Cabriolet was completely restored before 2011 and has been with the second owner since then. It has been driven rarely but regularly and is in very good condition.
