La Fiat 1600 S OSCA Spider nasce all’inizio degli anni ’60 come evoluzione sportiva della serie sviluppata in collaborazione tra Fiat e i fratelli Maserati, fondatori della OSCA (Officine Specializzate Costruzioni Automobili). Fiat forniva la base, mentre OSCA realizzava il raffinato motore bialbero ad alte prestazioni. Dopo il debutto della 1500 S nel 1959, nel 1962 arriva la più brillante 1600 S OSCA, sempre carrozzata da Pininfarina, dotata di un’unità da 1.568 cm³ per circa 90 CV. Prodotta fino al 1966, si distingue per eleganza, cura costruttiva e un comportamento su strada vivace, divenendo uno dei modelli Fiat più pregiati dell’epoca. The Fiat 1600 S OSCA Spider was born in the early 1960s as the sportier evolution of the series developed through the collaboration between Fiat and the Maserati brothers, founders of OSCA (Officine Specializzate Costruzioni Automobili). Fiat provided the base, while OSCA created the refined high-performance twin-cam engine.

After the debut of the 1500 S in 1959, the more spirited 1600 S OSCA arrived in 1962, still bodied by Pininfarina and equipped with a 1,568 cm³ engine delivering about 90 hp. Produced until 1966, it stands out for its elegance, build quality, and lively road behavior, becoming one of the most prestigious Fiat models of its era.
