Description

For sale is a very beautiful Daimler 15 Saloon, an elegant English pre-war classic from the Daimler Motor Company.

The car is powered by the characteristic 6-cylinder petrol engine of its era, with a displacement of 2,003 cm³, and is configured as a right-hand-drive vehicle. The classic bodywork with its cream-coloured paintwork, dark blue wings and running boards, along with the elaborately designed interior featuring a wooden dashboard, conveys the character of a British automobile from the 1930s in a particularly impressive way.

The vehicle was originally registered in England. As early as 2014, the Daimler was offered for sale in the Netherlands and purchased by my friend, who has since passed away. The sale is therefore being conducted on his behalf. The original sales description from that time, as well as further documents relating to the vehicle’s history, are available.

I have maintained and kept the Daimler in good technical condition over the years. Most recently, work was carried out particularly on the cooling system. The car is ready to drive and is currently registered in Germany. The vehicle is in an almost original condition and has not been restored.

History and valuation report

A valuation report by a publicly appointed and sworn motor vehicle expert from January 2015 is available.

In the report, the vehicle was awarded a condition rating of 2–3. The market value determined at the time was €20,000.

Among other things, the report noted the vehicle’s sound state of preservation, smooth-running engine and overall good condition. Factors reducing the value at the time included partial corrosion on the frame and minor door gaps.

The valuation report will gladly be made available to genuinely interested parties.

The Daimler is ideally suited to enthusiasts of British pre-war automobiles and, in particular, as a prestigious vehicle for weddings, classic car events and touring excursions.

This is not a newly rebuilt museum vehicle, but an authentic, well-maintained pre-war Daimler with its own history, which can still be driven.

Viewing and a test drive are possible by appointment.

The sale is conducted to the exclusion of liability for material defects. No warranty or returns.
