Vintage and Prestige Fine Motor Cars are proud to be offering this 1960 Bentley S2 Continental Flying Spur by H.J. Mulliner for sale. This is lovely rare Bentley S2 Continental Flying Spur. Chassis number 'BC124AR' was retailed new via Rippon Brothers Ltd of Huddersfield and first owned by A. Lee & Sons Ltd of the Trubrite Works, Meadowhall, Sheffield.
The copy chassis card notes that it was for the use of Colonel K. C. Lee and lists only one subsequent owner, a W. S. Trimble of Dalston, Cumbria (from 26th March 1965). Special features listed include Piper electric windows, combined parking/flashing lights, 501TA radio, electric aerial, stowage for Jerry Can and two sets of golf clubs.
The Bentley S2 Continental made its way to Germany about ten years ago and had a large sum of money spent on it to bring it to the condition we find it in today. The exterior paint is ‘Tudor’ over ‘Shell Grey’, a colour combination which suits the Bentley S2 Continental. To the interior is brand new ‘St James Red’ hide with complimenting burgundy carpets. All woodwork has been replaced and re-veneered with some of the most beautiful root stock French walnut we have ever seen. The Bentley dash is absolutely spectacular.
The Bentley S2 Continental’s original tool kit is in place in the boot. A large history file and assortment of bills also comes with the Bentley. The Bentley S2 Continental has had an expensive recent full service and brake overhaul making it ready for immediate use. It is in stock with us now.
Under the current long trem ownership some £50,000 has been spent in the last couple of years to put the car into tip top running condition. It resides ina collection of Rolls Royce Bentley & other marques.
