The Museo Officine Benelli says:
“Good morning,
This model is the Benelli Nuovo Leoncino, built between 1963 and 1965.
Benelli and MotoBi had been closely linked since 1961; models bearing the MotoBi logo were likely sold as well. The lion on the fender is a custom private modification.
The lion on the fender was a hallmark of the Leoncino model from the 1950s.”

The Benelli Officine Museum states: "Good morning, The model is the Benelli Nuovo Leoncino, built between 1963 and 1965. Since 1961, Benelli and Motobi have been closely linked; presumably, models bearing the Motobi logo were also sold. The lion on the fender is a custom piece made by private individuals.
The lion on the fender was a characteristic feature of the Leoncino model from the 1950s."
