Description

A remarkably beautiful Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Coupe. This top-of-the-line model was built in limited numbers from 1969 to 1971 and is nicknamed "Flachküler" (Flashkiller) because of the low, wide grille housing the V8. This is one of the few new examples delivered in the Netherlands. Comedian Toon Hermans purchased this 3.5 Coupe in 1971, boasting expensive extras for the time, such as air conditioning, a steel sliding roof, beautiful leather upholstery, and a Becker radio. The Mercedes has always remained in the Netherlands and has been meticulously maintained. The dark blue metallic paint (color code 387H) was recently resprayed for cosmetic reasons. The interior is completely original and in exceptionally good condition. The 3.5-liter V8, coupled with the smooth-shifting automatic transmission, still makes this 280 SE a very smooth-driving classic. Recently fully serviced by specialist Van Dijk Lisserbroek, invoices are available. Technically and mechanically, this 3.5-liter Coupe is also in top condition!
