Finished in its original colour of Masons Black coachwork with Oxblood Hide and carpets throughout including the boot. Black soft top and full-length wet weather cover trimmed in matching mohair, the attention to detail of the workmanship which went into the trimming is perfection. Equipped with body coloured wire wheels which makes the Jag look mean on the street and chrome embossed two ear spinners which add class. Light weight bumpers and correct 770 head lamps finish off the period look.

Reading through the three hard back folders of history which accompany this special 120 and viewing the photographic record of the restoration Pre-restoration, the frame looked astounding for the age. It looked as through the engine had never been removed from the engine bay. Original hose clamps are still on the hoses. The pictures show some of the original details. This would be the distributor cap, the clamps and the coil. Being an early car there some distinguishing features you will not see on the later cars, they are the early style rear axle, the vented front brakes, the coil located underneath the intake and a button that you would press to check the oil in the sump and your fuel level making this car a restorers dream base for restoration. Every point of interest has been photographed and fully document from start to finish. You only then can fully appreciate the 1000's of man hours which have gone into this restoration. Every nut and bold has been replaced on this car and a credit to the men who carried out these works.

The detail and preparation that have gone into this car include; the front brake drums being removed and discs fitted in their place with the added stopping power of 4 pot brake callipers. Electrics now 12 volt with alienator and high output starter motor. Electric ignition and enlarged radiator with Kenlow fan to keep the 'Cat' cool in heavy traffic.

Built in July 1951 makes this example one of the earliest cars. It was built for the USA as these early cars were only available as export only in order to drive the British economy forward like many other items manufactured in Great Britain at the time in wake of World War II. Dispatched from Browns Lane 3rd September 1951 and imported by Hoffman of New York . The supplying dealer was Henry Miller INC Washington. From 1959 to 2016 before the car was returned back home for restoration it was in the same ownership and resided at 147 Sanford Avenue, New York with the registration NY3341 making the story even more special. Since restoration completion the car has formed part of extensive private collection - well know the company.

Examples of this pedigree and attention to detail rarely become available making this a wonderful opportunity to be able to present.
