Dr. Ottmar Gast
Dr. Ottmar Gast is Chairman of the Advisory Board of the shipping company Hamburg Süd A/S & Co KG and is amongst exercising various other mandates, a member of the Advisory Board of the Classic Trader GmbH. After studying mechanical engineering, Ottmar began his career as a development engineer at Daimler Benz AG and as Chief Engineer at the Research Institute for Operations / Logistics in Aachen. At the end of the 1980s, he headed the logistics of Mahle GmbH and then joined the management of the German Parcel Service GmbH before he found his way into the management of Hamburg Süd in 1994. As a dedicated driver, Ottmar feels at home on the racetrack rather than on regular rallies. Ottmar advises the Classic Trader management in strategic and business issues.
CEO of classic car insurance specialist OCC Assekuradeur GmbH is Désirée Mettraux.
The 39 year old joined the company with a wealth of experience from various areas of
responsibility in the insurance industry: between 2007 and 2012 she headed the department of
motor vehicles and vessels at National Suisse, based in Basel/Switzerland. In this position
she held responsible for developing various motor vehicle insurance products.
Désirée's focus is digital business, for which she's also consulting the management team of
The Swiss national worked as a mentor for various startups in the digital realm and is a
co-founder of Swiss camper van hire portal mycamper.ch, where she's still an active member
of the board.
Désirée left Creadi AG, a Basel based InsurTech startup which she co-founded in 2016 and
headed as CEO since, as per 1st July 2019. The music enthusiast and mother of twins lives
in Hamburg/Germany with her husband and daughters.
Christian Hupertz is responsible for the marketing of the Peek & Cloppenburg Group (Duesseldorf), he is also Chairman of the supervisory board of the 90m AG and since the beginning of 2014 he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Classic Trader GmbH. Prior to Peek & Cloppenburg, the marketing expert has worked for more than 13 years in prestigious advertising agencies, inter alia, as CEO of Grey Worldwide, as Managing Director of Jung von Matt as well as International Account Director at Springer & Jacoby. Christian is an outright classic car enthusiast and whenever time permits he is a very successful driver with his vehicles on German and European classic car rallies. Christian advises the Classic Trader management in terms of marketing and strategic alliances.
Christian Wiebel is Chairman of the Board of the CAMAO AG in Darmstadt and a member of the Advisory Board of the Classic Trader GmbH. Christian is an entrepreneur through and through, he has never been employed after completing his studies, and he has always owned his own company. His great passion is technology and entrepreneurship, which he can live each day to the fullest with his owner-operated digital & communications agency. Christian loves anything that is fast and loud and he already was on the move on many race tracks with plenty of horsepower. Christian advises the Classic Trader Management in business and technology issues.
