Moto Morini

In September 1937, Alfonso Morini struck out on his own after nearly 15 years of working with Mario Mazzetti.

He opened a small business on Via Malvasia in Bologna.

Reliability and good performance made the young company from Bologna famous.

After the war, Alfonso Morini concentrated solely on motorcycles and was named “Success of the Year” at the Milan Trade Fair.

From 1975, Morini worked on the new 500cc racing machine, which was unveiled at the Milan Motor Show in 1977. The displacement increased to 478.5 cm³, the power to 43 hp at 7,500 rpm, and the speed to 175 km/h.

This Moto Morini 500W was first registered in July 1984.

The current owner bought this 500 W in 2007 from a Moto Morini workshop master who had meticulously restored it. The current owner simply found it beautiful and added it to his collection. Since he is “unfortunately” very tall, he never rode it. The 337 km on the odometer are the result of regular test drives.

The engine runs smoothly, and the brakes, chassis, and electrical system work perfectly.

As we examine the 500 W, we notice its great lines and overall fantastic design. We feel a slight sense of “love” rising within us – but that's something we're familiar with from Italian designers ;o).
