Designed by Ferdinand Porsche and later developed by his son Ferry Porsche, it laid the foundation for the brand’s sports car philosophy.

Approximately 76,000 units of the 356 were produced in total, making surviving examples particularly desirable among collectors today.

The 356 B series (1960-1963) introduced:

  • revised bumpers,
  • improved suspension and braking systems,
  • increased comfort and build quality.
