The Mercedes C140 is a special car. At its presentation, it was already described as the best car in the world and, unfortunately, was misunderstood for a long time, especially in Germany. Its size and appearance were imposing, while its presence was self-confident. Something like that easily provokes envy; overseas, this was not a problem, where it was respected and admired.
The chassis of the 140 series was still used for the upcoming Maybach series after production had ended. The driving experience in a C140 is also unique and cannot be compared with any other Mercedes.........
This is a vehicle from the final series with all model updates. It already has the more modern 5-speed transmission, the updated automatic climate control, the improved wiring harnesses, ESP, Bosch Motronic engine management and much more. The very last CLs were the most reliable and are also the most sought-after today. In particular, our S 600 Coupé from model year 1996 is equipped with the legendary guide rods for orientation when parking. These were no longer offered from model year 1997 onwards.
