Welcome to Oldie Point!
We are constantly looking for classic and youngtimer vehicles and look forward to your offer.
The Maserati Kyalami was introduced in 1976 as the successor to the Indy and became the first model developed under the leadership of Alejandro De Tomaso. Based on the De Tomaso Longchamp, the Kyalami received not only an independently redesigned and elegant body by Frua, but above all the heart of a true Maserati: the 4.2-liter V8 engine, handcrafted interiors, and classic GT characteristics. Only 186 examples of the Kyalami 4200 were produced – a genuine piece of Italian automotive history that is today regarded by connoisseurs as a highly underrated insider’s classic.
This particular example was first registered in Switzerland on April 1st, 1979, and has been in second ownership since 2015. In recent years, the vehicle has undergone an extensive and professionally executed restoration. The body was repainted in its original color “Rosso Rubino”, while the underbody was completely dry-ice blasted and preserved. The interior was reupholstered in the original “Senape” color combination with a strong focus on authenticity. Even the wiring harness was not merely repaired but entirely recreated to original specifications – a detail that highlights the quality and standards of this restoration. Mechanically, the Kyalami has been comprehensively overhauled: engine, suspension, brakes, and electrical system are all in correspondingly excellent condition.
As a special feature, this vehicle is equipped with rare gloss-black trim elements, further emphasizing its classic and elegant appearance. Overall, the Maserati presents itself today in a highly harmonious and well-maintained condition – convincing both visually and technically, restored with great attention to detail.
A vehicle for true enthusiasts of Italian GT automobiles – rare, exceptionally well-preserved, and ready for its next collector.
