Description
The English name Daimler is as old as the British car industry. The company was founded in 1896, initially selling German Daimler cars and then producing them under licence. The focus was on luxurious passenger cars and robust commercial vehicles. For decades, the British royal family drove the fine Daimler cars. Daimler was taken over by Jaguar in 1960. It was realised that the V8 engine was superior to the small Jaguar engine with a displacement of 2.4 litres. The Jaguar MK II was therefore also offered as the Daimler 2.5 Litre V8 (not later than automn 1967: Daimler V8-250). Daimler was always a little finer, more expensive and rarer.
Our Daimler 2.5 Litre V8 limousine was delivered with automatic transmission and is registered in Germany. The luxuriously equipped classic car has been partially restored. The paintwork has been renewed, and the interior is charmingly original. In mid-2025, the classic car was fitted with new Michelin XVS tyres. Driving a Daimler has always been something special.
