For sale we have this truly stunning Austin Healey 100 BN2 regarded by many as the most pure of the breed. This was the 100mph sports car straight from the factory, and with the 100m performance kit that was available from BMC at the time you could just lower the windscreen and go racing at the weekend then put the hood up and drive home.
Like the E Type the shape is really drop dead gorgeous from every angle with all the curves in just the right places, its not hard to see why the car was such an immediate success both here and in the states where indeed this car started its life. This of course has been a saving grace for so many of our British sports cars where the dry climate has been so kind to the metalwork and not like the majority of moth eaten examples that emerge from this side of the pond
A really well executed total restoration was carried out on this car a few years ago now, and on close inspection one can see that its never been a wreck. The underside is all nicely detailed out and the chassis shows no signs of repairs or damage. An all steel car with excellent door fit sitting on painted wire wheels newish radial tyres all round and a stainless steel exhaust system fitted
The red upholstery with white piping shows very little use and what better colour could you have with a black car. A black well fitting hood is on the car with clear rear screen and side windows. Show standard engine bay- and the sharp eyed amongst you will have noticed the all alloy 100m rocker cover and rare four blade cooling fan. Part of a private collection of cars the black coachwork on this car is truly stunning. I think its fair to say one would be hard pushed to find even a stone chip, and black just sits so well on this car. The Big Healey's have always been the must have sports car of the 50/60s. I was lucky to have owned my 100 back in 1968 and these cars still excite as much now as they did then. Prices of the 100/4's have remained firm for the best examples and are currently running very close to their big brothers. Eligible for the Mille Miglia or just a blast on a Sunday afternoon the choice is all yours
We have just carried out a full service on the car and replaced the batteries. V5c registration, sundry invoices and owners handbook accompany the car along with full tonneau cover and spare wire wheel.
