  • Sales information

It’s February 20, 1975, and 38-year-old Nicola Alberto enters early in the morning. the showroom of Alfa Romeo dealer Raganelli in Rome. After several months of waiting, the time has finally come for him to enjoy his new love. He quickly drank the espresso and completes the paperwork, because he wants to drive! His Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior in Lusso trim is already glistening invitingly in the Italian morning sun.

Nicola has chosen the beautiful Faggio color, a super chic color, especially when combined with a cream-colored “finta pelle” interior. A truly “bellissimo” combination. Otherwise, the car is completely standard. It doesn’t even need a radio.

It’s autumn 2025, and despite the stormy weather in “Olanda,” we still getting a warm feeling at the prospect of soon passing on Nicola’s still beautiful Bertone to a true enthusiast of the famous Milanese marque. In 2019, we also had the pleasure of selling this car to a Belgian enthusiast. Our suggestion at the time, “If you ever want to sell the Alfa Romeo again, please consider us,” was not forgotten, and we received the news that due to too many cars in his collection, the owner had decided to sell some of them, including the Alfa Romeo. Besides the impeccable care, the car has, of course, also been serviced, and the invoices for these have been added to the extensive documentation.

Traditions must be passed down, and the original Italian dealer, Raganelli, feels the same way, as they still deliver Alfa Romeos to enthusiasts today. Our beautiful Coupé has only driven 81.600 kilometers in over 50 years and has been preserved as if it were Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. It’s truly incredible that this car has never been restored. Every welding spot, every seam between the sheet metal, and the factory finish testify to its authenticity and originality. This is truly a rare occurrence, and we are fortunate to be able to offer something so beautiful. The owner’s perfection did, however, result in the paintwork being replaced at some point. This was done very professionally and in a way that does justice to the car’s unrestored status.

The interior looks immaculate. No cracks in the upper dashboard, no discolored headliner, no damage to the chrome or stainless steel parts, no scratches on the windows, and no one has even installed a radio in those 50 years. The leatherette driver’s seat shows two minor spots of wear, but we deliberately leave them untouched. That’s the subtle patina that makes owning a classic, unrestored car so appealing. Everything is super original and of the highest quality. Many enthusiasts seek that, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Mechanically, everything is also in order. The car drives superbly. It runs, brakes, shifts, and steers just as well as when Nicola drove it out of the showroom in 1975. All the floorpans and suspension are of the same high standard. A very light preservative has protected the underbody well over the years, and the quality of the floor panels is clearly visible. We’ve attached some photos of the underside of the car. After removing some Italian dust here and there, you can clearly see what an original, unwelded Bertone should look like.

Do we have the ultimate Bertone on our hands? We certainly think so, and we invite you to come and see for yourself if you’ve been searching for a while and can’t find the right one, or if you have doubts about the authenticity of the cars offered. We’ll show you this Junior from top to bottom and take you on an extensive test drive. Combined with your wishes and our 43 years of experience with, and passion for Alfa Romeo, this should be a solid foundation for a deal you can enjoy for years to come.
