The Morgan 4/4 was introduced in 1936 as Morgan’s first four-wheeled model. The model designation refers to four wheels and four cylinders, clearly distinguishing it from the earlier three-wheelers produced by the marque. The Morgan 4/4 retained its fundamentally recognisable construction for many decades, featuring a welded steel chassis, wooden body frame and lightweight coachwork. Within the British sports car world, the model occupied a unique position, as Morgan continued to embrace traditional construction methods at a time when many manufacturers had already moved towards more modern engineering solutions.

The Morgan 4/4 was offered in various versions and enjoyed an exceptionally long production run.
