After two early bankruptcies in Spain, thefamous engineer Marc Birkigt came across the financier Damian Maten in 1904. Maten immediately recognized his design skills and together they founded the company "La Hispano-Suiza de Automobiles". Even before the World War I, various sports and touring cars were produced. The T15 from Hispano-Suiza can be described as the world's first serial production sports car. The 64 hp 4-cylinder engine had a volume of 3.6 liters and was designed as a long-stroke engine. The Spanish king was so enthusiastic about the driving style of the Hispano-Suiza that he allowed the company to call the Type 15 "Alfonso XIII". The first years from 1913to about 1930 in the life of this so rare car are not known - until it was acquired by a certain Bill Pitt and used in many racing events in Great Britain until 1978 - almost 50 years! Later the car was sold at auction and now belongs to an important European collection. In addition to the car, the original bodywork is supplied, which gives the future owner the opportunity to restore the car to an absolutely original condition.
