1966 Ford Mustang Fastback GT 4.7L – FULLY RESTORED ORIGINAL
For sale: a fully restored 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback GT equipped with a 4.7L V8 engine.
The car has been restored in full accordance with its original factory specifications, as verified by the VIN.
The vehicle is registered as a historic car.
Between 2022 and 2024, the car underwent a complete, ground-up restoration. It was stripped down to bare metal and sandblasted. All corroded components were replaced, and the car was reassembled using new parts wherever necessary. Components that could be salvaged were professionally restored. I have an extensive photographic record documenting the entire restoration process.
The underbody was protected with a special coating in Red Epoxy Primer, matching the original factory finish. The car was painted using Novol for Classic Car paints and has recently received a ceramic coating for additional protection.
The Vintage Burgundy paintwork matches the original colour code specified by the VIN.
This is an original GT model, confirmed by its individual components and the distinctive features specific to the GT version.
The engine was professionally inspected and tested by a workshop specialising in classic engines. It meets the original factory specifications, and I have documentation confirming the results.
The rear differential was completely dismantled, inspected and reassembled with new bearings and seals before being powder-coated.
The drum brakes underwent a complete overhaul, including replacement of the wheel cylinders, while the front disc brakes were fully refurbished.

The car features a modern radio styled to look like a classic unit, discreetly installed in the original location, along with an additional sound system delivering a total output of 280 watts.
There is so much more to mention that I have probably left out half of the work carried out.
