This Ferrari will be familiar to everyone from the TV series Magnum.

The letters “GT” stand for Gran Turismo. The following letter “S” describes the open Spider version of the GTS, which in the case of the 308 is equipped with a targa roof that can be stowed behind the seats.

From 1982 to 1985, the 308 was equipped with quattrovalvole (four-valve technology), which increased the power output to 179 kW and the top speed to 258 km/h.

Within three years, 3042 GTS QVs were produced.

History

The current owner bought this Ferrari 308 GTS about 8 years ago from the first owner in Canada.

It stood for about 4 years until he decided to completely restore this Ferrari about 3 years ago.

He carried out this restoration in his own restoration company for high-quality cars such as DB4, Maserati and Ferrari.

It was completely dismantled into its individual parts, the body was stripped of paint and repainted, the chassis and brakes were renewed, the interior was re-leathered, the interior fabric was renewed true to the original and, of course, the electrics were renewed.

The engine and gearbox were also completely dismantled and overhauled. Logically, this also includes the timing belt and all service work. The engine number and gearbox number match the factory specifications and are therefore “so-called” matching numbers.

Since he himself, like Tom Sellek, is simply too big for the 308 in the end, he is now offering it for sale.
