1969 MG MGC GT

1969 MG MGC GT in Mineral Blue and with an automatic gearbox and 87000 miles on the odometer. The car is a right-hand drive model. First registration dating back to August 1969. The car has Danish papers and registration. The current Danish title dates back to 2006.

The MGC GT is a more practical MGC. It was designed by the famous Italian design firm and coachbuilder Pininfarina, properly better known for the design of memorable Ferrari’s and other exotic cars. This being an MGC GT is has the more powerful 6-cylinder engine compared to the MGB. The MGC models were only produced for 2 model years and only 4,457 MGC GT was made, making the MGC a very desirable and collectible British classic.

Car Specification:

VIN/Chassis number: GCD14209G

Odometer: 87000 miles

Transmission: Automatic

Engine: 2,912 cc (2.9 L) C-Series I6, 150 bhp

History of the MGC GT:

The fixed-roof MGC GT was introduced in 1967 and produced until August 1969. The MGC GT sported a ground-breaking greenhouse designed by Pininfarina for the MGB GT and launched the sporty "hatchback" style. By combining the sloping rear window with the rear deck lid, the MGC GT offered the utility of a station wagon while retaining the style and shape of a coupe. This configuration was a 2+2 design with a right-angled rear bench seat and far more luggage space than in the roadster. Relatively few components differed from the roadster, although the MGC GT did receive different suspension springs and anti-roll bars and a different windscreen which was more easily and inexpensively serviceable.
