Description

Impressively beautiful and highly original Giulia 1300 Ti with upright pedals from the 105.39 series. Equipped with extensive history, the original Libretto and various maintenance bills. Delivered new in Milan and after many sunny years, the Alfa only came to the Netherlands in 2017 and has belonged to 1 Dutch owner since then.

The Alfa has been professionally repainted in the past in the original colour "Moschino Verde" and the quality of the paintwork is of a high standard. The paint looks very clean with a deep shine. Only on the right front door there are some small spots in the paint. The colour looks very nice on the Ti, it really is a 60s classic. The sheet metal is almost like new, with only a few signs of use. The doors are closing excellent and the seams are nice and small and straight. Everything feels very solid, as if the car is only a few years old. The underside and floor, by the way, is just as nice with only 1 spot of attention. A nice detail: the original steel rims with hubcaps have new Pirelli CN36 tyres and that looks great!

The interior is Italian class. The original cognac upholstery is undamaged and the seats are excellent. In Milan, the Giulia undoubtedly slept inside, as the dashboard is without any crack and the upholstery is unaffected by the sun. All the instruments work as they should. The carpets and floor mats are also barely worn.

The legendary 1290cc engine from the 105 series needs no introduction. Totally by the book, with all the nice technical details you would expect from a car brand with such a rich racing history. The engine has been recently tuned and starts excellently both cold and hot. This little four-cylinder really is a gem; it likes to rev, there is a surprising amount of torque and, thanks to the sport exhaust, the sound is pure indulgence. No four-cylinder sounds as nice and, as a result, a classic Alfa is always instantly recognisable. The five-speed gearbox has been overhauled in the past and shifts very smoothly and without a single creak. It has also been excellently maintained in recent years, invoices totalling € 4,730.- are present from a well-known Alfa specialist. Besides the regular maintenance, the following items have been replaced or modified: new brake booster with vacuum hose, steering ball and knuckleballs, master and auxiliary clutch cylinders, engine mounts, odometer cable, bonnet cable, heater control, thermostat, source pipe and the fantastic Pirelli tyres. The steering rack beam has been welded through, making the car handle better (stiffer), a welcome improvement.

This is why this 1300 Ti is unlike the average offerings on the internet. The car looks, feels and steers quasi like new. An oldtimer with the X factor? For me that's the Giulia from this series, it's a real beauty!
