Description

When the Peugeot 504 was unveiled at the 1968 Paris Motor Show, it was an instant success. A beautifully designed and well-developed car, built on solid foundations: a front-mounted longitudinal engine with rear-wheel drive. This not only provided a sportier driving experience but also better overall balance. It was a worthy successor to the 404, which had been in production since 1960. Just a year after its debut, the 504 was awarded the highly prestigious title of European Car of the Year.

Today, we’re focusing on the convertible version. And not just any convertible: this is a stunning Peugeot 504 2.7 V6 Cabriolet, finished in the iconic Jaune Tullip. The body was designed by Pininfarina, and it shows in every elegant line. Technically, the cabriolet shares much with the saloon, though its wheelbase is 15 cm shorter. From 1970 to 1974, the four-cylinder was dropped in favor of the PRV V6 engine, co-developed by Peugeot, Renault, and Volvo. Due to strong enthusiast demand, the 2.7 V6 made a comeback in late 1974 – but only for two years. That makes this version not only rare, but also significantly more enjoyable to drive.

Our example was built in 1975 and has had only two owners – the last since 1982. It presents in well-maintained, charming condition. The color combination perfectly complements the elegant lines of this French icon and has proven to be a strong investment over time.

And the best part? The French border is just about a three-hour drive away – the horizon ahead, and a smile on your face. We warmly invite you to experience this remarkable 504 for yourself.
