**BENTLEY MARK VI SPORT SALOON   1950 **-

Questa auto è stata acquistata dalla  concessionaria    Inglese  Robert B. Massey & C.O. Ltd -Market Weighton - York Inghilterra  il 23.03.1950  e di seguito venduta, il suo primo acquirente il 29.04.1950 tale Sig. K. Thelwall Esq., Walkington Hall, Beverley, E. Yorks, prima di essere portata  in Italia l'11.07.1972 dal   Dottor. Porta Piero Aldo di Milano. Questa bellissima Bentley ha potuto piacevolmente soddisfare la guida di ben altri 7 proprietari, tutti documentati da un libretto   di uso e  manutenzione del  rivenditore Bentley e Rolls Roys Robert B. Massey di Market Weigton. (vedi foto storica del tempo )
Per qualche anno fu usata a Milano, e dopo  lasciata ferma  in un box di Vimercate  sino a quanto nel  1989 fu da me acquistata in condizioni a dir poco disastrose,  i francesi direbbero un epave, (relitto) la foto appare su un piccolo riquadro di AM-Auto Magazine. Prima di iniziare i lavori di restauro  grazie alla collaborazione dell'Ing Cedric Braun (grande conoscitore di queste auto) è stata recuprata presso l'archivio storico della Rools Roys Bentleys cars di Ginevra, la  Scheda originale  con le  caratteristiche dell'auto, dove viene specificato oltre ai vari acquirenti  gli interventi meccanici subiti negli anni ,   il colore  nero , con profili sulla modanatura Rossi che è stato mantenuto.
Questa Auto è stata totalmente restaurata, il telaio è stato messo a nudo, ogni sua parte dei componenti restaurati con cura, e con materiali altamente professionali.  Gli Interni: sedili rifatti rispettando le linee, tappetini, guarnizioni interno porte ed esterne carrozzeria sostituite, rimodulate le radiche , nuove cromature, cielo sottotetto con tessuto originale, tutto rifatto  come da origine.
La parte meccanica Motore  completamente revisionato ,  Frizione e tutta la componentistica soggetta ad usura sostituita con parti nuove, carburatori totalmente revisionati, sia il telaio che la  carrozzeria hanno subito un trattamento di sabbiatura con applicazione di primer, la carrozzeria  affidata ad uno storico e  noto  carozziere di auto di prestigio  tale  " BOTTINI PIERLUIGI  di  Legnano- .
Ci sono voluti ben 6 anni di restauro,  il tutto documentato da un grande album fotografico.
E' stato fatto un bel reportage su una importante rivista Italiana AM - Auto Magazine nel gennaio 1996, dove si possono vedere alcune foto effettuate durante le  varie fasi di restauro da fotografi di AM.
Nonostante siano trascorsi  23 anni  dopo l'avvenuto restauro e i pochi chilometri percorsi , questa macchina si presenta per gli appassionati  in uno stato a dir poco eccezionale, con vernice  color nero lucIido e profili rosso sulle modanature del cofano  delle porte e dei copricerchi , le  cromature impeccabili. Se ci poniamo davanti all'auto si osserva la maestosa e  bellisima calandra, la B alata che nel complesso con i suoi prorompenti 5 fari, 2 fendinebbia e grosso faro di profondità centrale, la targa in ottone con la scritta Bentley Mark Six 1950.

Dieses Auto wurde vom englischen Händler Robert B. Massey & C.O. Ltd-Market Weighton - York England am 23.03.1950 und anschließend verkauft, sein erster Käufer am 29.04.1950, dass Herr K. Thelwall Esq., Walkington Hall, Beverley, E. Yorks, bevor er nach Italien gebracht wurde 11.07.1972 von Dr. Porta Piero Aldo in Mailand. Dieser schöne Bentley war angenehm in der Lage, das Fahren von 7 anderen Besitzern zu befriedigen, die alle durch eine Gebrauchs- und Wartungsbroschüre des Bentley- und Rolls Roys-Händlers Robert B. Massey von Market Weigton dokumentiert wurden. (siehe historisches Foto der Zeit)
Einige Jahre lang wurde es in Mailand verwendet, und nachdem es in einer Garage in Vimercate stehen gelassen wurde, bis es 1989 von mir unter katastrophalen Bedingungen gekauft wurde, sagten die Franzosen eine Epave (Wrack), das Foto erscheint auf einem kleinen Quadrat von AM-Auto Magazine. Vor Beginn der Restaurierungsarbeiten wurde dank der Zusammenarbeit von Ingenieur Cedric Braun (einem großen Kenner dieser Autos) die Originalkarte mit den Eigenschaften des Autos aus dem historischen Archiv der Autos von Rools Roys Bentleys in Genf geborgen. Zusätzlich zu den verschiedenen Käufern wurden im Laufe der Jahre die mechanischen Eingriffe durchgeführt, die schwarze Farbe mit Profilen auf dem Rossi-Formteil, die beibehalten wurden.
Dieses Auto wurde komplett restauriert, das Chassis wurde abgetragen, alle Teile seiner Komponenten wurden sorgfältig und mit hochprofessionellen Materialien restauriert. Der Innenraum: Sitze unter Berücksichtigung der Linien erneuert, Fußmatten, Innentür- und Außenkörperdichtungen ersetzt, umgeformte Briars, neue Verchromung, Dach mit Originalstoff, alle vom Ursprung her erneuert.
Das mechanische Teil Motor komplett überholt, Kupplung und alle verschleißanfälligen Komponenten durch neue Teile ersetzt, Vergaser komplett überholt, sowohl der Rahmen als auch die Karosserie einer Sandstrahlbehandlung mit Grundierung unterzogen, die Karosserie einem historischen und bekannten Autobauer anvertraut von Prestige-Autos wie "BOTTINI PIERLUIGI di Legnano-.
Die Restaurierung dauerte 6 Jahre, alles dokumentiert durch ein großes Fotoalbum.
Eine schöne Reportage wurde im Januar 1996 in einem wichtigen italienischen Magazin AM - Auto Magazine gemacht, in dem Sie einige Fotos sehen können, die AM-Fotografen während der verschiedenen Restaurierungsphasen aufgenommen haben.
Obwohl 23 Jahre nach der Restaurierung und den wenigen zurückgelegten Kilometern vergangen sind, wird dieses Auto für Enthusiasten in einem außergewöhnlichen Zustand präsentiert, gelinde gesagt, mit glänzendem schwarzen Lack und roten Profilen auf den Formteilen der Motorhaube der Türen und der Radkappen, dem Chrom makellos. Wenn wir uns vor das Auto stellen, beobachten wir den majestätischen und schönen Kühlergrill, den geflügelten B, der insgesamt mit seinen platzenden 5 Scheinwerfern, 2 Nebelscheinwerfern und dem großen zentralen Scheinwerfer die Messingplatte mit der Aufschrift Bentley Mark Six 1950 trägt.

This car was bought by the English dealer Robert B. Massey & Co. Ltd. Market Weighton - York England on 23.03.1950 and subsequently sold, its first purchaser on 04.29.1950 such Mr. K. Thelwall Esq., Walkington Hall, Beverley, E. Yorks, before being brought to Italy the 11.07.1972 from the Doctor Porta Piero Aldo of Milan. This beautiful Bentley was able to pleasantly satisfy the guidance of 7 other owners, all documented by a document of maintenance use of the Bentley dealer and Rolls Roys Robert B. Massey of Market Weigton. (see historical photo of the time)
For a few years it was used in Milan, and after it was left standing in a Vimercate box until I bought it in 1989 from nothing more than disastrous conditions, the French would say an epave, (wreck) the photo appears on a small square of AM-Auto Magazine. Before starting the restoration work thanks to the collaboration of the Eng. Cedric Braun (great connoisseur of these cars) the original card with the characteristics of the car has been recovered in the historical archive of the Rools Roys Bentleys cars of Geneva. specified in addition to the various buyers the mechanical interventions suffered over the years, the black color, with profiles on the Rossi molding that has been maintained.
This car has been totally restored, the chassis has been laid bare, every part of the components carefully restored, and with highly professional materials. The Interior: seats redone respecting the lines, floor mats, interior door and exterior bodywork gaskets replaced, remodeled the briars, new chrome, sky attic with original fabric, all redone as from origin.
The mechanical part Engine completely overhauled, Clutch and all the components subject to wear replaced with new parts, carburetors totally overhauled, both the chassis and the bodywork have undergone a sandblasting treatment with primer application, the bodywork entrusted to a well-known and famous coachbuilder of prestige cars such "BOTTINI" of Legnano-.
It took 6 years of restoration, all documented by a large photo album.
A good report was made in an important Italian magazine AM - Auto Magazine in January 1996, where you can see some photos taken during the various phases of restoration by AM photographers.
Although 23 years have passed since the restoration and the few kilometers traveled, this machine presents itself for fans in a state of nothing short of exceptional, with glossy black paint and flaming red profiles on the bonnet moldings, doors and wheel covers, the impeccable chrome. If we place ourselves in front of the car we can see the majestic and beautifull grille, the winged B which in all, with its bursting 5 headlights, 2 fog lights and large headlight of central depth, the brass plaque with the writing Bentley Mark Six 1950.
