**1925 Bentley 3 / 8-Litre Special (World record breaking car)  **

  • Ultra-rare British competition car
  • Regularly campaigned in historic races
  • Registered in Germany
  • UK V5
  • Engine number: HM2865
  • Chassis number: 1157

8203 cc, 6 cylinder engine,  4-speed Bentley gearbox converted with Dog type gears internally

Starting life as a 3-Litre, this car underwent a significant transformation under the guidance of J.C. Konig and engineer John Guppy. Their vision resulted in an impressive 8-Litre creation. The journey of innovation and improvement continued, eventually finding its home with Vic Smith and Stanley Mann in 1986.

During the 1980s, the car enjoyed notable success on the competition circuit, securing victories at prestigious events like the Bentley Drivers Club and VSCC races.

Crafted by Williams and Pritchard, the car boasts an impeccable aluminum and steel tube frame construction with stunning paintwork. Fitted wings, Brookland's screens, and a racing head cowl contribute to its authentic racing persona.

The immaculate interior sports green leather bucket seats adorned with meticulous leather lacing are impeccably preserved. The aluminum dash houses all essential gauges, while ample storage space lies behind the seats for added convenience.

This Bentley defies expectations with its agile handling. Equipped with a Laystall crankshaft, 8.0:1 compression, tubular con-rods, fabricated exhaust manifold, and other performance-enhancing modifications, it offers a thrilling driving experience.

In excellent running condition this historically significant British racing car is poised for participation in historic motorsport events like the Goodwood Members Meeting and continental rallies. She is an excellent choice for enthusiasts seeking a dependable and high-performance pre-war classic.

Price is 685,000.00 euro
