Description
In 1978 the Aston Martin V8 Saloon was heavily revised both inside and outside. Known informally as the "Oscar India" after it's internal codename, but also referred to as a V8 SaloonSeries 4, this variant was in production from 1978 to 1986, and a total of 295 cars were built.
The Oscar India V8 Saloon in immediately recognisable by its lower bonnet, without an air intake, and by the rear spoiler incorporated into the bodywork. Most have bumper overriders and many have additional driving lights. Early Oscar India cars have rectangular Wipac units below the bumper, but these were supersedes by round Cibie lights set into the grille.
Early cars retain the GKN Kent wheels, but later cars use BBS Mahle cast aluminium wheels are used.
This 1984 particular fine original example finished in Winchester Blue with Magnolia leather trim is in outstanding condition with a documented 66500 miles. The car has been upgraded to the later Vantage Ronal wheels and tyres, it also has a wood rim steering wheel. If you are around the 6 ft 5 ins tall this car will ideally suit you as the seat has been lowered by using a different seat base. The original seat base can be refitted if required. An outstanding good looking car with the right looks and noise to support the muscle bound image.
