Description

The Alfa Romeo 1300 Junior GT was a sports car produced by the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo from 1966 to 1977. It was designed as a smaller and more affordable version of the Alfa Romeo 105 series, which included the popular Giulia and Spider models.

The 1300 Junior GT was powered by a 1.3-liter inline-four engine that produced 89 horsepower and 83 lb-ft of torque. It was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, and could reach a top speed of 103 mph. The car's lightweight construction and nimble handling made it a favourite among driving enthusiasts.

Over the course of its production run, the 1300 Junior GT underwent several changes and updates. In 1970, the engine was upgraded to a 1.6-liter unit that produced 108 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque. The car also received a revised interior and exterior design, with new bumpers, grille, and taillights.

Despite its popularity, the 1300 Junior GT was eventually replaced by the Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV in 1977. However, it remains a beloved classic sports car among Alfa Romeo enthusiasts and collectors.

This very fine example has been subject to a highly skilled restoration to make sure the car is in total keeping with its originality and period design, truly amazing car. Finished in white paint and black trim and the Alfa shamrock racing logo, it just makes you smile, what a great car and truly amazing to drive.
