Driven by the passion for the most elegant car types ever, Belrose Classics decided to design and launch its own edition, the "Belrose Signature" version of one of the most iconic and beautiful sports car ever... the Jaguar E-type Lightweight.

Basically, the Lightweight E-type was a continuity, an evolution of the Low drag Coupé inspired by the D-Type. 

Only 12 original samples of the Lightweight were launched on the market between 1963 and 1964. With a weight of only 975 kg (!) they reached a top speed of 274 km/h.

This stunning E-type is a thorough restoration with widened body from a series 2 roadster offering following important specifications:

• full alloy body panels

• widened body (3 cm at each side) to enable good road holding

• adjustable suspension with special springs

• disc-brakes all around

• powersteering till 40 km/h

• 6 in-line 4.2 engine developing 298 hp with Weber carburettors and an electronic ignition

• featured with a manual 5-gear Getrag transmisison and modern clutch

• original S1 alloy bucket seats 

• S1 dashboard with S1 switches

• enlarged space at drivers'side allowing tall people to drive the car

• adjusted soft top allowing tall people to drive the car with closed soft - top (original soft - top available)
