The 220 S coupe offered here has a very special history. It is a vehicle from a first family ownership with the original interior and sunroof with wind deflector. The 220 S belonged to the founder of ULO Werke, Moritz Ullmann - who was very well known and important as a supplier in the automotive industry. Later his son Manfred Ullmann took over the car.
The paint and chrome are in good condition, it has been given a wonderful patina and the history that goes with it. The car is not fully restored, but knows how to convince with its original appearance.
The two-tone paint job in green with a white roof suits this model extremely well. The original numbers from the data card are still legible on the engine, chassis and transmission.
The coupe is both technically and visually in excellent condition. The engine has been recently re-tuned and runs smoothly and quietly. With the sunroof and the vent windows, this ponton also drives in the summer as if you had installed a modern air conditioning system. The coupe is with its history and in its condition an absolute collector's item.

History of the series
The four-cylinder Ponton models appeared as early as 1953, until six-cylinder lovers got their money's worth a year later. First came the sedan (220 a), followed by the convertible in July 1956 and finally the 220 S coupe three months later. All coupes were based on a self-supporting body, unlike the pre-war models and the 300 series (e.g. W 186), which were still built on a separate chassis.
Just 1,251 of the coupés were built during this period - only a few of them with sunroofs. With the basic equipment, the 220 S Coupé was sold for about 21,500 DM - a proud sum for those times.
The vehicle is located in our showroom in Stuttgart-Plieningen, close to the airport/trade fair. A test drive and an inspection on the car lift are possible by arrangement.
The sale takes place on request with new inspection, service and TÜV. We also offer a wide range of accessories for your new dream car. If required, we can also deliver the vehicle to you in a closed trailer.
Opening hours: Mon - Sat by appointment
