The original Audi Quattro is a very special car indeed and without doubt one of the most iconic cars of the 1980s.

Launched to critical acclaim in 1980 the Audi Quattro was considered a genuine supercar slayer with its tenacious 4-wheel drive grip and powerful 5-cylinder turbocharged engine.

Costing almost as much to buy as a Ferrari 308 when launched, the Audi Quattro was produced in low numbers between 1980 - 91 with a worldwide production run of just 11,452 cars ensuring the cars exclusivity.

It is still a deeply impressive car to drive, with prodigious power, fantastic handling and a wonderful warble from it’s 5 cylinder engine.

This example was registered in 1989, is finished in Alpine White and has the upgraded 2,226cc ‘MB’ engine.
The car went through a thorough recommissioning process following a stint of around 11 years in storage between 2011 and 2022. The work undertaken included a cambelt change, full service, clutch master cylinder, boot struts and various other small jobs. The fuel pressure regulator was also refurbished around the same time.

The exterior is in excellent condition with the paintwork shining nicely with plenty of depth whilst the panels have no dings, dents or rust bubbles.

The interior is pure 1980’s the glowing digital dash all working correctly. The interior shows no sign of excessive wear and is commensurate with the low mileage the car has covered.

The only modification we are aware of is a stainless steel exhaust, which is quite a common change as the original parts have become harder and harder to source. The exhaust still offers a subtle tone but lets the five-cylinder engine, which these cars are so famous for, sing.

This Quattro is supplied with an excellent service history, showing 12 stamps in the service book up to 2002 at 78,000 miles, with a further six service invoices since then. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find well-cared for Quattro Turbo’s without ‘moon mileage’ and this example certainly ticks all the boxes.

Supplied with both keys, its original book pack and a large number of service invoices and old MOT certificates this Quattro is ready to be used and enjoyed and naturally we are happy for you to inspect the car on our ramps or have the car independently inspected.EMIUM
