Revolutionary ! This is the best way to describe the impact of the Lamborghini Miura when it first appeared in 1966. It was a work of art created by Marcello Gandini, the newly promoted head designer at Bertone. In addition to its graceful styling, the Miura displayed an innovative structure, inherited from racing prototypes. Moving in a different direction to their competitors, Lamborghini used a fantastic V12 3.9-litre engine that was mid-mounted, providing the car with excellent weight distribution. With 350 bhp and the weight limited to a ton, the acceleration was incredible. The top speed of 280 km/h made it the quickest production car in the world when it was introduced. Launched in 1968, the new Miura S was an evolution of the previous version and incorporated a huge number of differences. The level of comfort and equipment was improved, but importantly, so was the car's performance: 370 bhp, 285 km/h top speed and, a first on a road-registered car, 0 to 100 km/h in the 5 second bracket !
The car presented is in beautiful original condition, both the paintwork and interior as well as the mechanical elements - the engine and transmission.
The car has about 45,000 km on the odometer and is presented in superbly preserved condition. It appears to have the original paintwork.
An exclusive automobile rarely seen in such an original condition as this.
