1930 Lagonda 3L Saloon

Registration : Luxemburg registered
Chassis number : Z10129

This exceptionally rare vehicle has maintained its pristine condition thanks to meticulous maintenance since undergoing a comprehensive restoration in 1978, followed by a complete mechanical rebuild around 2010. The striking green and black two-tone color scheme still gleams brilliantly. The restoration efforts were focused on preserving its originality, exemplified by the untouched Rexine upholstered roof, the world's first-ever water-repellent fabric.

The dark green leather interior of this rare automobile has been exceptionally well-preserved, retaining its original condition. The wooden dashboard proudly showcases a set of Smith gauges, adding to its timeless charm. Noteworthy features include a chauffeur's lever on the driver's window for swift up-and-down movement and a tube with a spring on the headlining that controls the curtain at the rear window.

In more recent years, this car underwent an extensive mechanical overhaul led by the renowned expert Julian Messent, who now serves as the director of HCS. As a result, the 3-liter engine now operates at its peak performance, delivering impressive torque and power that rivals its larger counterpart, the 4.5-liter Meadows engine.

This exceptional automobile is truly a work of art. Its remarkable condition and exquisite patina resemble a fine wine, aged to perfection and a pure delight to experience. Meticulously maintained, this car offers powerful and smooth performance, along with refined and subtle nuances that elevate it to the status of a masterpiece. The only thing it requires now is a worthy custodian to continue its dignified aging process. For additional information and photos showcasing its full charm and allure, please don't hesitate to request them.
