Description:
The Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato is regarded as one of the most coveted British sports cars of the 1960s. Originally, only 19 to 20 examples were produced, each hand-built with an ultra-lightweight aluminium body by Zagato in Milan. The aim was to rival the Ferrari 250 GT SWB—on both road and track. The combination of British engineering and Italian design flair has made this GT a true automotive icon to this day. Its uncompromisingly sporty character remains unmistakable.
About this car:
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a DB4 GT Zagato that has been completely built up new with the utmost precision and craftsmanship. Based on a DB4 Series II chassis, the car was meticulously constructed by leading specialists: the handcrafted aluminium Zagato body was created by Cleve Smart, while RS Williams was responsible for the engine and gearbox. Paintwork, interior, and final assembly were executed by Spraytec to an exceptional standard.
The original engine was upgraded to 4.5 litres with twin-plug ignition, and the 4-speed gearbox was fitted with overdrive. Accompanying the car are numerous invoices, the original Aston Martin build sheet, and the historic logbook. The vehicle is presented in outstanding condition, with restoration quality that reflects a level of craftsmanship rarely seen. Both technically and aesthetically, it meets the expectations of the most discerning collectors
