The Jaguar Mark II is a four-door sedan that was built from 1959 to 1969. This upper-middle-class car was technically very advanced and, with its larger engines, was the fastest sedan in the world for a long time.
Compared to its predecessor, the Jaguar 2.4 and 3.4 Litre, the body had larger windows, and improved engines and a more modern chassis with disc brakes ensured a high level of driving pleasure. It could be driven very sportily. Three engine variants were available: 2.4, 3.4, and 3.8 liters. Our example has the mid-range, very responsive 3.4-liter engine with 210 hp, paired with a mechanical, fully synchronized four-speed gearbox with overdrive. This allows for relaxed driving even on long journeys. It is from the final year of production and also incorporates all the improvements introduced at that time. The MKII is both a sedan and a sports car, qualities it has proven in competitive driving.
This vehicle underwent a complete restoration by A.A. Snowdon from 2001 to 2002. A.A. Snowdon, based in Dortmund, is one of the world's leading Jaguar restorers and delivers top-quality work.
