1986 BMW E28 524 TD - Turbo Diesel

Only very few are left of the 'First diesel that drove like a BMW'. This E28 524 TD was sold new in Spain, comes with the original invoice and has covered just 92.000 kilometers.

A beautiful example in Polaris Silver with Automatic transmission, sunroof and A/C.

Turbo Diesel E28 5-series 

This BMW E28 524 TD was sold new to miss Maria Chavez on the 22nd of April 1986. The original invoice is present: BMW Iberica SA sold this 524TDA for a total of 37.483 Deutsch Marks.  Also to the original 'packing slip' / 'packzettel' is present for this delivery. Lots of records are present and show that miss Chavez owned the car up to 2008, after which the car was parked. Just one lady owner in Spain. In 2016 we have imported this car from her inheritance and brought the car to the Netherlands. We gave the car a service in 2016 - with 87.000 kilometers, after that we sold the car to a German collector. Now, 6 years later we bought the car back. 

Nice, original E28's have become a rare thing. Low-mileage ones even rarer, but a low-mileage Diesel is near unfindable. This car shows an original and documented 92.000 kilometers. It comes with the original invoice, original service book with dealer stamps, packing slip as well as several ownership records between 1986 and 2007 including technical controls. The car was ordered in timeless 060 Polaris Silver over a Marine blue Herringbone interior. The car has a manual sunroof and has factory A/C. Green-tinted windows and automatic transmission. 

The condition is beautiful. A very straight body, original doors, original fenders and free of rust. Good panelgaps and nice and straight chrome bumpers. The car sits on a nice set of 15 inch Cross-spoke wheels with fresh Hankook All-season tires.
The undercarriage is amazing. The car has not seen winters, has not seen salt, has no rust and was never welded on. Very clean wheel wells and clean original floors. The original jackpoints in perfect condition.

The engine bay is completely original. Original decals, original bodywork and no rot on the shock towers. The M21 Turbo-diesel runs excellent and the inline-six diesel sound is beautiful. The prevous owner had a service performed at the BMW dealer in November of 2022. The car received a new timing belt, all seals on the engine and transmission were replaced as well as an oil service, transmission oil service. Shock absorbers were replaced recently and the car has great and precise handling.

The trunk is as nice and original. It shows a clean trunkfloor, nice spare-wheel. The car drives lovely and needs no further work.
