Restored Austin-Healey 100/ 6 Overdrive, fitted with the powerful 3000 Mk III engine with large SU carburettors and central gearbox with overdrive. Includes recent history, heritage certificate and various invoices. Newly delivered in San Francisco and Holland since 2019. The previous owner took the time to tackle everything tip top, the exterior looks very cool, the car has been repainted in the Netherlands in the beautiful Austin-Healey duo tone colour "Colorado red and Black", including the sporty black spoked wheels.
The Big Healey has been professionally polished and the paintwork is beautiful with some signs of use. During the restoration, several technical elements were modified to improve reliability, such as a high-efficiency radiator, front disc brakes and a new wiring harness with main switch. The powerful and smooth BJ8 engine and the centrally controlled gearbox are also valuable improvements. A stainless steel exhaust has recently been fitted, and the black spoked wheels with Vredestein Classic tyres provide a nice contrast. A few changes have also been made recently, such as a new pin in the steering box and new controls for the accelerator pedal. The side windows are very neat and the black soft top is tight and closes like new.
The interior is beautiful, the dashboard looks good and the seats are newly upholstered in black leather and red piping. The original classic steering wheel fits well and the finish is excellent. And most importantly, this Healey drives very well, the powerful 6-cylinder sounds great and the overdrive works perfectly. What a great Healey! It's rightly an iconic British sports car; a beautiful design, a very powerful engine with an excellent sound and very stylish. Especially in this stunning duo colour with black spoked wheels, it's a rare beauty. And the price is right, just compare it on the internet.
