Description

For sale is a beautiful

Golf 1 Cabriolet special model "Etienne Aigner" in "midnightblue",

The car has accompanied me for more than 10 years and is now in third family hand. Starting with the transfer, over the normal Berlin city traffic, up to pleasure trips and short trips to the German coast, the car has never let me down so far. Unfortunately, the car no longer fits into my life circumstances, so I now have to part with him with a heavy heart.

The first delivery of the car was on 01.02.1991 to the first owner to Stuttgart, who then sold the car in the spring of 1993 to the second owner. Both can be proven by the old original letter. The car was driven exclusively in summer. The car was taken over with just under 162,000 km, so in the last few years just 30,000 km have been driven. The car was bought by me as an accident-free car and has remained so.

Only 779 of the total 2,951 Etienne Aigner special models have made it to Europe. So it's no wonder that this most beautiful blue variant can hardly be found unmodified on the market today.

According to the Internet, the Etienne Aigner special edition goes back to the desire of the then CW chief designer Gunhild Liljequist to create a particularly exclusive and extravagant special edition of the strawberry basket. In addition to the extensive standard equipment, the special model is particularly convincing with details such as the Aigner emblems woven into the tarpaulin made of jacquard flat fabric, which, however, has unfortunately been lost on most vehicles over the years - not so on this one :-).

Other optional equipment:

14 inch Le Castelette alloy wheels
green heat protection glazing
exterior mirrors in car color
Etienne Aigner" lettering with horseshoe emblem on the right and left fenders
Height-adjustable sports seats
Fabric seat covers with jacquard flat weave and woven-in Aigner emblem
Color-coordinated seat leather trim with applied golden horseshoe
Door trim with jacquard flat weave and woven-in Aigner emblem
Steering wheel rim in black leather
Power steering
Radio Gamma - unfortunately no longer available, so we installed an ALPINE CD radio with Bluetooth handsfree and iPod cable in the glovebox.
In addition to many invoices and receipts, the TÜV findings of the last few years are also available. The original V.A.G. board folder including V.A.G. service book and manual is also present.

Two VW vehicle keys including an Etienne Aigner key fob are also present as well as a fuel key. The car has received in 2008 at 140,000 km a gebracuhten VW exchange engine. The 5-speed gearbox of the 1.8 liter engine with 98 hp shifts cleanly and the engine has more than enough pull. The car is classified as "low emission" and therefore gets a green (EURO 4) sticker.

The car has been repainted and or repaired all around, so that the car looks very good, but its 27 years have of course left their mark. The car has been serviced exclusively in specialist stores and everything necessary has always been done to keep the car in the best possible condition. In the last years the following parts have been replaced or repaired:

Fuel pump
Fuel feed pump
fuel filter
fuel lines
clutch
Clutch cable
Air filter
Oil filter
Sealing rings
Oil seals
Fan control unit
Spark plugs
Gear knob
Handbrake cable
Water cooler
Flex pipe
expansion tank
Tension pulley set
V-belt
Oil seals
Windscreen wiper motor
Brake lines and part of fuel lines
fuel tank
spark plugs
Reupholstered driver's seat
New hood covering
Repainting work
Rust was also removed from the driver's door and rear fenders. Regular oil and fluid changes are a matter of course, as is dry, well-tempered garage storage in winter.

A few small quirks are still on the open to-do list and should not be concealed here. There are a few first rust spots on the edges of the trunk to work on and in cold condition it currently does not run completely smoothly.

You buy here an honest, registered car with TÜV. Which is certainly not perfect, but has always been well maintained and lovingly treated.

The car will give you extremely much pleasure.

Since it is a private sale, but of course no guarantee can be expressed. The redemption of the car is also excluded. The sale is made under exclusion of any warranty.
