Description

Porsche 911 S/T – the legendary predecessor to the iconic Porsche Carrera RS. Originally produced in very few units only for competition use, and completely invaluable as original. When FIA changed the regulations in 1970/1971, among other things by allowing up to 2″ wider fenders, Porsche rapidly build a car utilizing this. It could now be fitted with 7″ front and 9″ rear wheels. The only problem was that Porsche’s rim supplier Fuchs could not deliver 9″ wide rims, instead they fitted Minilite rims at the rear and Fuchs at the front. A funny looking combo, but you have to do what you have to do to win. The overall weight was also radically reduced, using thin-plate technology and aluminum, and some standard equipment and details were simply not installed. And of course, the engine was enlarged and trimmed to the most powerful yet seen in a 911, engine volume up to 2.5 liters, which in racing trim delivered a hefty 270 bhp – back then! That’s more than 100 hp/liter in a two-valve engine. Consider that.

This car is built on the basis of a 1972 T “Oelklap” in a quality that is only rarely seen. EVERYTHING is new or restored, including a complete engine rebuild by Porsche racing specialist Schönemann – of course with dual ignition, special MFI, RSR lightweight flywheel, more powerful oil pump and many other fancy details. Restored gearbox with “Nurburgring” ratio, LSD, correct S/T steel fenders, completely bare metal restored chassis, and we could go on and on. Please note that the car is professionally built by relevant craftsmen who know what they are doing. All the parts used are specific to the S/T model. The car present itself absolutely perfect and is an delight to look at, touch, feel and not least to drive.

The car is built to meet the FIA’s requirements for historic races – just the seats need to be replaced – but is also street legal and road registered. Excellent for use on very special drives, as well as track days. Considering that the engine produces close to 300 hp with a curb weight of less than 1100 kg, there is never any lack of power and speed. In fact, the car is quite civilized to drive, and a pure pleasure to handle on curvy roads. On top, the exclusive and delicious interior only increases the wellbeing behind the wheel.

Extensive documentation of the car’s history and build, as well as the significant investments that have been made is avaible. Please contact us for further information.
