Hexagon Classics are pleased to offer this 992-generation Carrera GTS occupies a very particular place in the 911 hierarchy — sitting above the standard Carrera S yet stopping short of the full GT department, it represents the sweet spot that many seasoned Porsche enthusiasts regard as the definitive road car choice. With 480bhp drawn from the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six, it is a car of genuine and immediate intent, and the Coupe body style ensures it can be savoured in the way all great sports cars should be — with the sky above and the exhaust note filling the cabin.

This example is specified with exceptional conviction. The rear-axle steering and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus work in concert to give the 992 a handling precision that belies its open-top body, turning an already accomplished chassis into something that genuinely astonishes. Power Steering Plus sharpens the response further still, and the Sport Chrono Package, combined with PDK and PASM Sport suspension lowered 10mm, ensures the car is never less than completely alert to the driver's intentions.

The visual presentation is purposeful without resorting to excess. The 20"/21" RS Spyder Design wheels finished in satin black are among the most attractive alloys offered on the modern 911, complemented throughout by matte carbon fibre interior inlays, carbon fibre door sills, and the Sport Design Package — a cohesive, serious aesthetic that sits perfectly with the GTS character. The heated GT Sport steering wheel in Race-Tex, the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with leather backrest shells, and the front axle lift system round out a specification that is as practical as it is driver-focused.
