A Charming British Post-War Classic – The 1957 Morris Minor 1000
Few British motor cars capture the optimism of the post-war era as convincingly as the Morris Minor. Introduced in 1948, it set new benchmarks in the compact family car segment. During the 1990s, it was imported into Switzerland, where it subsequently underwent a comprehensive restoration carried out with great care and attention to detail. The bodywork was completely restored and refinished, the interior professionally renewed, and extensive mechanical work was undertaken to ensure the car's long-term reliability and preservation. Extensive photographic documentation records the restoration and provides an impressive insight into the meticulous rebuilding process.

Almost all invoices for parts and materials have been retained, together with numerous documents relating to both the restoration and the vehicle's history, creating an exceptionally transparent and well-documented provenance. While not every labour hour was recorded, the available documentation clearly demonstrates the remarkable scope of the work carried out.
Today, the Morris Minor 1000 presents in well-preserved overall condition. The bodywork is rust-free, while the paintwork and interior remain attractively maintained. Only minor signs of use serve as a reminder that this car has been enjoyed regularly and cared for responsibly. A few small finishing details remain, offering the next owner the opportunity to complete the car according to their own preferences.
